Sacramento!
FAIRWAY FOX NO.56
YOCHA DEHE GOLF
14455 CA-16, Brooks, CA 95606
We did it, we made it back out to the Sacramento area. Big shout out to Si who persisntently made the push to make this happen. Also, thank you Si for donating a Taylormade Qi35 that we will be raffling off on Sunday! We have some new members joining us this week which is always exciting. This might be the first time we don't have a D1 player signed up, so there's a ton of competition stacked in D2 and D3.
Everyone read through this page thoroughly. Hopefully it answers any questions and gives everyone the info they need.
Feel free to reach out to me via phone if you have further questions.

Check in
First tee time starts at 9:30am, so I'll be there around 7:30am to coordinate with the golf course. There won't be an official check-in for this event. Just show up! We will have range balls and I believe you can get the code from the pro-shop.
Group Photo
We'll be doing a group photo at 9:15am. I'm unfamiliar with the layout of the course so the location of the photo will be TBD. It is not mandatory to be in the photo but it would be great if you could make it!
Post Round Trophy Ceremony

Playing format
Division 4 = Net Scoring
There will be a trophy ceremony held after everyone is finished. We will announce winners for the closest to the pin contest, division winners, and raffle winners.
Please give your scorecards to me (Brandon)
Look good, play good. Wear Khalhon' gear if you have it. All the videos and photos will be used by Khalhon' so consider yourself a new model!
It is a standard stroke play, individual scores. We have 4 divisions which will group everyone with similar skill level.
Division 4 (16+ handicap) will now be a net champion. The way this works: you take your score of what you shot for the round, and subtract your handicap to get your net score.
Rules:
-
You must have an official GHIN in order to calculate your net score.
-
25 strokes is the max given
Rules
-
Standard USGA ruling (Click Here)
-
Winter Rules Apply - Lift, clean, and place is allowed on fairways. We will also allow free relief to move away from standing water (if your ball or your feet are in a puddle).
-
Pace of play - If the marshal needs to force a group to skip a hole in order to catch up, then everyone in that group will receive a double-bogey for the skipped hole. Please be proactive about your pace and get into ready-golf when needed.
-
OB (out of bounds) - You may use the alternate 2-stroke penalty which allows you to drop onto the fairway, OR you need to hit from the original position. If taking the alternate 2-stroke drop, your ball may be placed 2 club-lengths from the rough, equal distance to point of entry of where it went out of bounds.
-
If there aren't white stakes present, then it may be considered a hazard. Standard hazard rules apply - (1) If it isn't playable then take the drop with +1 stroke penalty (2) If you can play from the hazard then you may hit in that spot with no penalty strokes.
-
Max Score - Double par (ie: par3 = 6, par4 = 8, par5 = 10) You may opt for a max score if you're having a blowup hole, this way we can continue the round in a good pace. Don't be the jerk making the entire group wait.
-
What happens if I'm late to my tee time? Hopefully this doesn't apply to anyone. If you are late, contact me or your cartner: we need to see if someone in your group can drive back to pick you up. For every hole you missed, you will receive the max score (double par).
-
How are ties handled? - Playoffs will generally be used to handle tie-breakers. At the discretion of course availability, time, and weather; we may opt to break a tie with a contest (ie: closest to pin shootout).
Score Keeping
Exciting news!! We have partnered with Kismet to conduct live-scoring
Please use the links (below in the grouping section) which are proprietary to the specific group you are playing in.
You do not need to register or create an account.
We do advise that a paper scorecard is being used to make sure that all your scores match the digital version at the end. If it does not match, your scores will not be valid.
Here is the link to the LIVE LEADEROARD. You can watch it or send the link to your friends to keep up with where you are during the round. The link may not load until the round begins, just in case you've clicked on it early.
