FAIRWAY FOX NO.52
BAY VIEW GOLF CLUB
1500 Country Club Dr, Milpitas, CA 95035
Thank you all for signing up to this event. I'd like to welcome our new members joining us! Big shout out to Ant Garcia, Ryan Vaterlaus, Ron Melendres, Jumbo & Daisy Banaria for being official joining the fox family. Let's do what we do best and have a great time out there on Sunday. We also have our pro / guest golfer with us; Abby Arevalo! We are catching her right before she goes out on the Ladies European Tour.
The elephant in the room - rain looks like it is in our forecast. Each day it has been changing but on average we are looking at a 35%-50% chance of rain. Fingers crossed because we may have a window of no rain, or very light rain. Obviously if it decides to pour on the day of - it's up to the course's discretion on if it is deemed unplayable and allow for a raincheck.
Feel free to reach out to me via phone if you have further questions.

Division 4 = Net Scoring
I will be there at 8:00am setting up. You may check-in to the proshop to receive range balls and practice before we tee off. We also have a special guest vendor (Golf Mark Express) who is allowing us to do a custom print on our golf balls. Give yourselves enough time!
We will be doing a group photo at 8:45am. It is not mandatory to be in it, but it would be great if you do show up!
There will be a trophy ceremony held after everyone is finished. Location TBD
Please give your scorecards to me (Brandon)
Be prepared for rain, stay dry, stay warm.
It is a standard stroke play, individual scores. We have 4 divisions which will group everyone with similar skill level.
Division 4 (16+ handicap) will now be a net champion. The way this works: you take your score of what you shot for the round, and subtract your handicap to get your net score.
Rules:
-
You must have an official GHIN in order to calculate your net score.
-
25 strokes is the max given
Rules
-
Standard USGA ruling (Click Here)
-
Winter Rules Apply - Lift, clean, and place is allowed on fairways. We will also allow free relief to move away from standing water (if your ball or your feet are in a puddle).
-
Pace of play - If the marshal needs to force a group to skip a hole in order to catch up, then everyone in that group will receive a double-bogey for the skipped hole. Please be proactive about your pace and get into ready-golf when needed.
-
OB (out of bounds) - You may use the alternate 2-stroke penalty which allows you to drop onto the fairway, OR you need to hit from the original position. If taking the alternate 2-stroke drop, your ball may be placed 2 club-lengths from the rough, equal distance to point of entry of where it went out of bounds.
-
If there aren't white stakes present, then it may be considered a hazard. Standard hazard rules apply - (1) If it isn't playable then take the drop with +1 stroke penalty (2) If you can play from the hazard then you may hit in that spot with no penalty strokes.
-
Max Score - Double par (ie: par3 = 6, par4 = 8, par5 = 10) You may opt for a max score if you're having a blowup hole, this way we can continue the round in a good pace. Don't be the jerk making the entire group wait.
-
What happens if I'm late to my tee time? Hopefully this doesn't apply to anyone. If you are late, contact me or your cartner: we need to see if someone in your group can drive back to pick you up. For every hole you missed, you will receive the max score (double par).
Score Keeping
-

-
Everyone in the group is accountable for eachother's scores
-

-
Add up your totals before turning it in!
-
If the scores do not match on both scorecards, ALL players in that group will be disqualified for the event
-
If only one scorecard is turned in, again ALL players in the group are disqualified
