FAIRWAY FOX x HAPPY HOUR
First and foremost I want to thank Noly from Happy Hour Golf Club for the collaborative effort to put this event together. This was supposed to be a "small hangout" event, but it caught fire and sold out the whole field. It's amazing that we have players from the Bay Area, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, and San Diego. Now we are a week away from the first ever Friendship Games! Another big shout out goes to Brian Athey; he's been nothing but helpful and gracious enough to link this event with some sponsors.
My advice is to treat this less about competition (sure we all want to win), but this is a great opportunity to grow your golf network. Go make a friend, go make some content, go have fun. Excited to see all of you and it is an honor to share the field. We hope that you enjoy your time with us!
Invite Reminder:
Friday January 9th - we are throwing a pre-party social gathering at Studio Golf. It is a free event and a great chance for each of us to meet. Please sign up if you haven't since space is limited!
Feel free to reach out via phone if you have further questions.

Playing format
Please arrive no later than 7:30am to register and have enough time to find cart and partner. I will be there as early as 6am setting up and running the registration table. Come say "Hi" because I'd love to meet everyone. I should have your tee assignments and range ball tickets available.
Shotgun start: we all tee off at 8am sharp
Ron Gonzales will be hosting a long-drive contest at the driving range before the round. Players will use his very small driver to see who can hit it the furthest. Free to play, winner gets a prize pack.
We will be doing a group photo at 7:45am before we head out to our tee boxes
We will do a quick trophy ceremony to announce the winners for the par3, long drive, and division winners. The trophy ceremony will be in the cove area next to the proshop.
After your round is done, we will have a recovery station powered by The Muscle Bender. You'll be able to slip on some Normatec boots for your legs, while others can get a quick massage from Jerwynn.
Turn scorecards in to Noly or Brandon Fox. There must be 2 scorecards turned in at the same time. Make sure the scorecards reflect eachother or else all of these scores will be exempt.
We have a photographer, look good play good.

Rules
Other than the obvious rules in golf, we have 2 important ones to abide by:
1. Do not be a jerk
2. Keep Pace-of-Play in mind at all times. See below for "max scoring" and penalties if the marshal forces your group to skip a hole.
-
Standard USGA ruling (Click Here)
-
Pace of play - If the marshal needs to force a group to skip a hole in order to catch up, then everyone in that group will receive a double-bogey for the skipped hole. Please be proactive about your pace and get into ready-golf when needed.
-
OB (out of bounds) - You may use the alternate 2-stroke penalty which allows you to drop 2 club-lengths onto the fairway.
-
If there aren't white stakes present, then it may be considered a hazard.
-
Standard hazard rules apply - (1) If it isn't playable then take the drop with +1 stroke penalty (2) If you can play from the hazard then you may hit in that spot with no penalty strokes.
-
Max Score - Just for pace of play sake, a Max Score can be opted for by a player in order to skip to next hole. Max Scores are double par (Par 3 = 3, Par 4 = 8, Par 5 = 10).
-
What happens if I'm late to my tee time? Hopefully this doesn't apply to anyone. If you are late, contact me or your cartner: we need to see if someone in your group can drive back to pick you up, or if the course staff needs to drop you off. For every hole you missed, you will receive the max score (double par).
-
Tree roots - We will allow the Local Rule. If your ball is on an exposed tree root, you may drop it one club length into a safer lie as free relief. We don't want clubs being damaged or injuries happening from hitting into a root.
Score Keeping
-
Turning in scorecards:
-
Everyone in the group is accountable for eachother's scores
-
2 Scorecards need to be turned in from each group
-
Add up your totals before turning it in!
-
If the scores do not match on both scorecards, ALL players in that group will be disqualified for the event
-
If only one scorecard is turned in, again ALL players in the group are disqualified
